So today we had our interview with Ms S about ROVs. We passed! Yay! Now we can make our ROV, which is good, because if we couldn't, we would fail this project. We assigned everyone roles inbuilding

Hey there friendship! I'm here to give you a little update on today. First and foremost, here is a picture of us working super super hard on creating a clearly superior ROV. With much thought, we decided to name our gorgeous baby girl Marsha. We took her to the pool today for a nice little swim. She enjoyed picking up the adorable octopus-like things at the bottom of the neighborhood pool. She is such a good swimmer, but she was leaning to far forwards, and the octopuses were slipping off of Marsha's little arms. With a little adjustment, Marsha was picking things up left and right. We are all in awe of how much she has grown.
This is Marsha, our lovely child:

shes named after marcia brady btdubs

so none of the pictures work anymore

i hate technology

So today we are working to refine Marsha, our baby ROV!
We started by figuring out a way to pick up the octopi. We bought a coat hanger and unraveled it to make two arms, then we put those on the front of Marsha.

We took Marsha out to the pool to test out the arms and check the buoyancy (sorry for no pictures! We don't want our cameras to get wet!)

There was a small problem with the vertical propeller but we think we have that solved.

Wish us luck for the future!

Tessa finished soldering our control box.
Lauren and I (Olivia) finished waterproofing our motors and made sure they were in working order!
Alex finished our frame!
Next, we finish our propellers and test out our ROV in water! Hope you enjoyed this first person photography ;)

Today Olivia and Lauren started preparing the tether cable wires and began attaching them to the motors.

Alex cut some PVC pipe and drilled the shoulders! What fun!

And I (Tessa) worked on soldering our control panel and prepared some of the wires. Hopefully it will be all done by the end of tomorrow!
